Mess

So, I put Bryn down for a nap today, hopped in the shower, and started puttering around the house, picking things up. All of a sudden I heard "uh-oh!" And I thought "uh-oh! That's not how Bryn wakes up from a nap!!" So I opened the door and peeked in. Here's what I saw:

Covered head to toe.

She emptied the entire contents of a baby powder bottle, an entire bottle of diaper rash cream, and an entire box of wipes into her crib.

She didn't seem all that disturbed by the mess.  Only curious.

"What are you going to do about it, MOM?!?

The "uh-oh" came when she dropped the baby powder bottle. If you look closely, you can see where it bounced and rolled before coming to rest. And those socks on the floor? They are pink. Bright pink.

Mother's day at the zoo

Didn't see many animals, but we had a lot of fun!

The Big 0-1

We had a low-key celebration for Bryn's first birthday this year. The day started with a family trip to the zoo (a first for all of us!), and ended as all good birthdays should - covered in cake.
