Trunk-or-treat fun

Every year, my sister's church throws a huge Halloween party, complete with Chili cook-off and carnival games for the kids.  After dinner, everyone heads out to the parking lot to "trick-or-treat" the parked cars.  They call it Trunk-or-Treat night, and it's a blast.

Bryn is still a little young to get the whole Halloween thing, but I made her a cool costume and took her to the party anyway.  I learned from last year's jellyfish costume/flop that if I want to get a photo of her in her costume, I need to be quick on the draw.  Last year, the only picture I got of her was her taking off the jellyfish costume.  This year, I did a little better.  The lighting was terrible.

Gab was a lobstah, but no photos yet.  I can't seem to locate her hat.  We'll hopefully get some good shots of them before heading out trick-or-treating for real tomorrow night.

Winking

Mike recently taught Bryn to wink. It's about the cutest thing ever. They sit at the dinner table winking back and forth, and I can't help but crack up at the two of them. It almost feels like I'm on the outside of their personal joke, which is strange, but it's awesome to see how much they love each other. This one goes much better than the first. The kiddos are much more compliant, but most importantly, neither of them are mobile yet. What cuties!!!

Emily is a ham, just like her big sister Lily!  Gabs is a little more stoic.  For some reason, she seems to freeze when she sees a camera.

Sisters photo shoot

Our besties the Haas family came over today, and to celebrate this momentous occasion, I did a little photo shoot.  Lily and Bryn are 3 months apart, and Emily and Gabs are 3 weeks apart.  The result is nothing short of hilarious.  Here are some of the best/funniest, and a little commentary about what's going on...

Bryn was chatting with my Mom on the phone this afternoon.  Mom asked Bryn what Gabby was doing, and Bryn said "Oh, she's just playing with my friend Mommy."

Fun in Action

Every parent in preschool has a job - that's the way co-op works.  Our (really Mike's) job is Safety officer, which entails overseeing the fire drills, earthquake drills, making sure smoke detectors work, etc.  Another guy's job is photographer.  Here's a selection to give you a taste of what Bryn's preschool day is like...
